ENS Lyon (Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon) is a pluri-disciplinary higher education establishment, offering a wide range of scientific subjects from biology to earth science including computer science. The LIP (Laboratoire de l’Informatique du Parallélisme) is the computer science laboratory of the ENS Lyon. It is associated with the CNRS, the ENS Lyon, the INRIA and the UCB Lyon 1 (UMR CNRS - ENS Lyon - UCB Lyon 1 - INRIA 5668). The DANTE team, implied in this project, belongs to the LIP. It consists of fifteen members in average, including six permanent researchers and teaching researchers. DANTE focuses on metrology, modelling, and analysing in the context of dynamic networks and it applies its results to the domain of high demanding applications and Future Internet. DANTE (former RESO team) have participated or is participating to several national and European projects, like for instance, SAIL, the European projects AEOLUS, Autonomic Internet, EC-GIN and the national projects HIPCALP, Carriocas, Grid 5000 and RESCUE. The team belongs to the common laboratory INRIA - Bell Labs and is implied in the Semantic Networks project.

Key personnel for ENSL

Dr Isabelle Guérin Lassous received the MSc. and PhD. degrees in Computer Science from the Université de Caen in 1995 and from Université Paris 7 in 1999 respectively. In 2000- 2006, she was an INRIA full researcher, first with the team ReMap (2000-2001), then with the team ARES. Since 2006, she is a professor at the Computer Science department of the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 / LIP, France. Her research interests mainly focus on networking optimization and quality of service. The studied networks are wireless and wired networks and more recently heterogeneous networks.

Dr Anthony Busson is a full professor at University Lyon 1 (Lyon-France). He is currently a member of the INRIA DANTE team in the Laboratoire de l’informatique du Parallélisme (LIP). He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from ENST (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris) in 2002. He was associate professor at University Paris XI for 10 years, in the Institute of Fundamental Electronics and Laboratory of Signals and Systems. His research interests include performance evaluation, stochastic geometry, dynamic networks, mesh and vehicular ad hoc networks.

Dr Paulo Gonçalves received his MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in signal processing from INPG, France, in 1990 and 1993 respectively. In 1994-96, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rice University (US). Since 1996, he is associate researcher at INRIA. From 2010 until 2012, he was leader of the RESO team and he is now with the DANTE at ENS-Lyon. P. Gonçalves research interests are in multi-scale analysis (signals, images and systems) and in wavelet-based statistical inference. His principal application is in metrology and deals with grid traffic statistical characterization and modelling for protocol quality assessment and control.

Dr Thomas Begin is an associate professor at the Université Lyon 1 / LIP, France, since 2009. He received his PhD. degree in Computer Science from UPMC, France, in 2008. His research interests focus on stochastic modelling, queuing theory and performance evaluation of computer systems and networks. His work includes both theoretical and practical aspects.

Huu-Nghi Nguyen is a Ph.D candidate at laboratory LIP (Laboratoire de l'informatique du Parallélisme - ENS de Lyon). He got his Master degree in computer science in 2011 delivered by a joint-program of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (VietNam) and Université Lyon 1 (Lyon-France).
